For Writing Help during Winter Term, go here.

You have two options for getting online assistance with writing projects:

1. Go to the blog home page and search “writing” (or a more specific writing-related topic, like APA, commas, or grammar) in the Search box on the right-hand menu, or choose your Course or Subject area from the drop-down menu. We have numerous articles with information and links that might prove helpful.
2. OR … Follow the instructions below to set up an online writing conference. Important: WCOnline works best with Mozilla’s Firefox browser — Internet Explorer is not recommended for online appointments. Download Firefox here.
3. Go to http://etsu.mywconline.com/ and, if you haven’t done so already, register for tutoring.
4. Search the schedule using the “limit to” drop-down menu: select “Writing-Online Tutoring” as your limit (see image –>

5. Select the tutor and time that best fits your schedule.
6. Return to http://etsu.mywconline.com/ and go to your appointment at the scheduled time to join your session.
7. To start your session, click on the words Start or join online consultation (see image below).
8. Follow the instructions you see on the whiteboard section of the screen.
9. If you have a problem: 1) turn-off your pop-up blockers; 2) switch Internet browsers — WCOnline works best with Mozilla’s Firefox; 3) call 423-439-7111 and ask to speak with your tutor.
